Simply punch a 3\/8” hole in both pieces of your leather (or whatever material you’re using) and for the upper, insert the cap’s threaded post through the hole. Then place the washer over your material and secure with the handy key (included)), making sure that the washer is at least flush with the thread. Same for the lower, except you’ll place your material over the ball head and threaded post. Also, you’ll notice that there’s a fixed washer on the very bottom of the lower that you’ll need to secure separately.
